Please note the dates of semester finals
when making travel arrangements. Absence
from final examinations will result in an
automatic 20% reduction of final grades.
Transportation provided to and from the
Tucson Airport and the Arizona Shuttle (a
transportation service to the Phoenix
airport) at the start and end of each school
session and official breaks only. Students
are allowed to leave campus by Fenster van,
Arizona Stagecoach, Taxi or Parent/Guardian
only. Parents/guardians must provide Fenster
School with written permission for a student
to leave campus by other means. The office
must be notified of all travel plans even
when family or friends are providing the
transportation. Students must NOT return to
campus early. The campus is closed and there
is no supervision or dining available.
Fenster School does NOT advance money for
travel. All travel money must be sent prior
to a student’s departure or be available in
the student’s drawing account. Information
for travel arrangements on official travel
dates should be given to the office at least
72 hours before scheduled departure.
Check Our Boarding School Calendar for the
Latest Fenster Events and Holidays
Both current and prospective Fenster
students, as well as their parents, can
refer to our boarding school events calendar
to see the general schedule for
examinations, holidays, graduation and more.
It is important for students and parents to
look at this calendar and plan any vacations
in advance and around the time for exams. We
uphold all our rules for attendance
requirements, and vacations are not
considered excused absences during exam
times.
All of our policies, even the ones regarding
boarding school events, are in place to help
students succeed in their studies and learn
to become productive, responsible citizens.
Though academics play a central role in our
students’ lives, we also encourage our
students to pursue their interests in the
various extracurricular activities we have
on our campus. From sports to the yearbook
staff, our students are provided with
diverse opportunities to find their areas of
interests and to pursue them.
If you have questions about our boarding
school activities or are interested in
enrolling your teen, you can contact our
office at 520-749-3340 or you can call our
Headmaster Don Saffer at 520-465-0990. We’ll
discuss with you the different opportunities
available at Fenster and provide you with
any information you need. At Fenster, we
can work with you to accommodate a
middle-of-the-year enrollment for any
extenuating circumstances. Contact us today
to visit our campus and find out how we can
help your teen succeed for life.
